Today is Caring Sunday and there will be a second collection for St Nicholas Care Fund.
The Justice and Peace Group would like to invite you, as a parish, to celebrate Little Christmas this weekend by helping those who are less well off than we are. Once again we invite you to help the Glasgow homeless by donating Christmas gifts i.e. Boxes of Biscuits or Chocolates which we will donate to the Wayside club for distribution at Christmas. Baskets have been left at the back of the church for your donations.
Once again The Justice and Peace Group invite you to use their Christmas Greeting Tree to send your Christmas Greetings to your friends and fellow parishioners, thus helping, in a small way, to protect our Common Home, Mother Earth – saving paper, money and your precious time! There will be a small donation box if you’d like to make a donation to a local charity.
On behalf of the parish, The Justice and Peace Group has responded to the A.C.A.T( Action by Christians against Torture) Christmas Greeting Campaign. Cards have been sent to victims of torture and unjust imprisonment assuring them of our thoughts and prayers at this time.
On behalf of the parish,The Justice and Peace Group will donate £100 from their funds to a local food bank (St Joseph and St Joachim’s Carmyle) to support them over Christmas.
UPCOMING EVENTS – Thursday 16 December at 7pm we will celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation in preparation for Christmas. Tuesday 14 December we will have a parent’s meeting in the Church at 7pm for Sacramental Preparation.
The monthly Pro-Life Mass will take place on Wednesday, 15th December at 7.30pm at Holy Cross, 113 Dixon Ave, G42 8ER. Adoration begins at 6.15pm and Confession will be available throughout.All welcome. The celebrant will be Fr Ben Mournian.
