NATIONAL YOUTH PILGRIMAGE WITH RCAG YOUTH
Get ready for an awesome in-person pilgrimage with the Scottish Catholic Youth and RCAG Youth! It’s a fantastic chance to connect, reflect, and share your faith alongside other young people.
This year’s theme focuses on religious and monastic life, with a programme designed to offer both reflection and encounter.
The pilgrimage day is open to those from S1 through to age 35, with separate youth (S1-S6) and young adult (18-35) streams, joining together for a Vigil Mass celebrated with Archbishop Cushley.
More than just a destination, Pluscarden Abbey is a place of stillness and spiritual depth—where the pace of modern life gives way to prayer, community, and contemplation.
Join RCAG Youth as we get in the pilgrimage spirit with a 7am departure by coach from St. Andrew’s Cathedral, heading all the way up to Pluscarden to spend the afternoon before departing there around 5pm to return home, due back at St. Andrew’s Cathedral around 10pm.
ANNUAL VOCATIONS MASS: You are invited to the annual Vocations Mass on the 24th of August at 7pm. The Mass will take place in St Andrew’s Cathedral, Clyde Street, Glasgow, G1 4JY. It is an opportunity to join as a diocesan community and pray for all vocations. There will be refreshments afterwards in Eyre Hall. Everyone welcome

STELLA MARIS – We are looking for volunteers in the church. Volunteers can be knitters as our seafarers love nothing more than to receive warm hats for long journeys at sea. We also have appeals at Christmas for toiletries and at Easter for chocolate eggs. These are distributed at ports around Scotland.
I am available for any groups attached to the church to present what Stella Maris does on a day-to-day basis via a PowerPoint presentation.
Sea Sunday is our second collection day.
If you wish to volunteer please contact peter.mullen@stellamarismail.org or tel 07745543959″
